EFFICIENT MAINTENANCE PROCESSES

Using smart technologies and a green vehicle fleet to minimize emissions and maximize efficiency. Unnecessary technical callouts are reduced by remote monitoring solutions and by KONE 24/7 Connected Services, which uses IoT platforms data and analytics to bring intelligent services to elevators and escalators. By carrying optimized spare part stocks in our vehicles, we reduce warehouse visits, further decreasing emissions.

SEAMLESS AND ECO-EFFICIENT MATERIAL FLOW

Logistics operations account for over 50% of KONE’s carbon footprint. We use distribution models that take eco-efficiency into account and pay special attention to reducing the impact of transportation through route and shipment optimization, as well as through careful analysis of alternative transportation models.

VEHICLE FLEET

With a total size of approximately 19,000 vehicles, our car fleet accounts for more than one third of KONE’s carbon footprint. We continuously search for new and innovative ways to reduce the carbon footprint of our vehicle fleet, for example by piloting electric vehicles and biofuels as well as by alternative means of mobility.
